This isn’t about doing more
It’s not a question of more skill, strategy or effort. It is about how you are in your role, which sometimes can be really difficult to pinpoint. Most leadership development focuses on behaviours; what to do differently, how to improve, models and frameworks to apply but when that doesn't get you there, a different kind of experience is needed.
David is exceptionally sharp, and the kind of person others rely on for thinking things through but when it came to speaking, especially when the stakes were high, he would lose clarity. It wasn’t that he didn’t know his subject matter. He did. Thoroughly. But in the moment, something more immediate and embodied, more him, was required. He didn’t need new frameworks for thinking or presenting. What he needed was a way for more of who he is come through in a comfortable and easeful way. He needed to become comfortable with who he is, to recognise and own all parts of him. Stop pushing parts of himself away. Over time, he began to shift, became lighter, easier to understand and connect with. Easier to trust. Which of course changed how others responded to him.
What The Landing is
A six month engagement for senior leaders ready for a different kind of conversation. There is no curriculum, no fixed sequence. We create the conditions for something more fundamental to shift in how you experience yourself, how you relate to pressure, and how others experience you in the moments that matter.
We meet for ten sessions over six months, with space in between for the work to settle. You have access to me between sessions for voice-note or WhatsApp exchanges when something in the moment needs attention.
How the work happens
This work includes the body. This is where the long held patterns of pressure, frustration, uncertainty, doubt, nagging voices actually live. The work also includes the contexts and histories that have shaped how you lead, revealing blind spots, untangling and reframing. When your system settles, your leadership settles.

What shifts is often difficult to define in advance but it will show up in ways that matter:

An Initial Conversation
We begin with a thirty minute conversation to look at what’s happening more clearly and get a feel for whether this work is the right place to engage. Sometimes that alone is enough to see something differently. And if it feels like a fit, you want to take if further, then we can talk about next steps. If not, you’ll leave with a clearer sense of where you are, and have no obligation to do any more.
